The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), one of the nation’s largest state trade organizations dedicated to technology and innovation, recently recognized Richard Cope, Founder & President, NanoLumens, as a Game Changer in Sports Technology in the latest issue of Hub Magazine.
The Game Changers in Sports Technology list, which appears in the January issue of Hub Magazine, identifies the innovators who are leading in this vibrant new tech sector. The magazine was unveiled in front of a crowd of contributors and sponsors at a special ceremony held at the Center Club in Atlanta’s Philips Arena.
Mr. Cope was recognized for game-changing LED visualization initiatives for several leading sports teams. AmericanAirlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat; EverBank field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars; TD Garden, home of the Boston Celtics and Bruins; Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots; and Quicken Loans Arena, home of the NBA Champion Cavaliers all make use of NanoLumens technologies.
Also included in the current edition’s TechnoFiles section is AmericanAirlines Arena Takes the Game Outdoors with White Hot Fan Engagement by NanoLumens’ Rob Jackson. It explains the unique visualization needs the arena had for their outdoor fan area, Xfinity East Plaza, and the custom LED displays NanoLumens provided them.
Georgia is fast becoming the place for sports technology. A combined $2 billion is being spent on high-tech sports facilities in the Peach State and an emerging number of tech companies focused on Sports Analytics, Fan Engagement, Digital Signage, E-Gaming, and more maintain a presence in the state.
