We’re proud to announce that NanoLumens’ own, Nathan Remmes, has been named one of the 50 Most Influential People in Sales Lead Management for 2013 by the Sales Lead Management Association. To celebrate, we’re sharing a few pieces of advice Nate has for sales lead management professionals and businesses as well as his main take-away from DreamForce 2013:
Align marketing and sales
When your company doesn’t work as a team, success is hard to achieve. Instead, have your marketing and sales departments work together; bridge the gap with proper demand generation and inside sales, creating a communication channel and fueling force between your departments.
Define what a qualified lead or opportunity is to your company.
Chances are that your employees come from different backgrounds and fields, lending them towards differing definitions of what makes lead or opportunity a qualified one. Together, define what makes a lead qualified, and work off of that definition. By knowing what a qualified lead is, you give yourself a better sense of measurement, success, and opportunity for growth.
Use your CRM to the max of its capability
At DreamForce, the focus of conversation is on SalesForce and making the most of your CRM. Investing in a customer relationship management tool is essential, but many companies leave the best capabilities of their CRM on the bench. Better your business and your bottom line by making the most of the capabilities and plugins available to you; by using the best of your CRM, you can cut costs on other software and save time for your workforce.
The entire team at NanoLumens extends congratulations to Nathan for his award and for his hard work in the office everyday; we couldn’t do what we do without him on the job. To learn more about why we love Nathan and why he’s an essential member of our team, check out his nomination.
